The presentation titled ‘Plantation Watch’ presented at the 2021/2022 ForestTech conference demonstrates how repeat visit satellite data can be leveraged by foresters and resource managers to continuously monitor landscapes at scale.
Using applied examples, the presentation shows how the system is being used to improve existing monitoring processes. Key design elements include a validation interface that provides expert users with a means of reviewing incoming alerts. These alerts are then published onto web applications, such as dashboards and web maps, as an efficient delivery method to the wider resource management team.
